Dear Parents:
For your convenience, we have compiled the following list of holidays and events to mark on your calendar.
Please keep in mind that your monthly tuition is based on lessons received for an entire school year, and not the number of classes received each month. This is standard private school policy. Remember that if your child misses a class, he/she has many opportunities within the week to make up that class. Please check with your child’s teacher for the appropriate day and time. Remember, that we do not close for Teacher Work days, or Religious Holidays.
Classes Begin August 24th, 2009
Nutcracker 2009 Audition:
Junior Audition: Saturday, August 29th, @ The Miami Conservatory
2PM-3:15PM: 8-10 years (child must be 8 years by Oct.31) 3:30 PM-5PM. 10-12 years old. All students in this group must be in Elementary IV or above. Height requirement: 5'2" and below.
Senior Audition: Sunday, August 30th @ NWSA 1PM-4PM: 13 years and up with 3 years or more of pointe.
Labor Day Holiday, Monday, September 7th No Classes.
Thanksgiving Holiday: Thursday, Nov. 26th, Friday, Nov. 27th, and Saturday, Nov. 28th.
Nutcracker Performance Dates: Tuesday, December 1st- Dress/Tech Rehearsal 3PM.
10 AM performances: December 2nd, 3rd, 4th.
7PM performance: Saturday December 5th.
Parent Viewing Week
Come to your child’s class and enjoy their progress:
December 14th through December 19th .
Winter Holiday:
Last day of classes: Saturday, December 19th. Classes resume on Monday, January 4th.
Spring Break:
Monday, March 29th through Saturday, April 3rd. Classes resume on Monday, April 5th.
Thomas Armour Youth Ballet Spring Performance: Dates TBA.
Memorial Day- Monday, May 31st.
In Studio Performances: Monday, May 24th through Saturday, May 29th. Come and see your child’s accomplishments for the year!
Please register your child this week for the 2010-11 school year. By registering early, you ensure your first choice of days, allowing you to plan your child’s week around the new schedule. Please see the main office.
Last day of Classes: Saturday, May 29th.
Summer Workshop: Monday, June 7th through July 9th (5 weeks)
Registration for the 2010-11 school year: Begins on August 16th for new students. Old students should be registered by June to ensure placement. Classes resume on August 23rd.
Nutcracker Auditions, 2010: Saturday, August 28th & 29th.
