Dear Parents:
For your convenience, we have compiled the following list of holidays and events to mark on your calendar.
Please keep in mind that your monthly tuition is based on lessons received for an entire school year, and not the number of classes received each month. This is standard private school policy. Remember that if your child misses a class, he/she has many opportunities within the week to make up that class. Please check with your child’s teacher for the appropriate day and time. Remember, that we do not close for Teacher Work days, or Religious Holidays.
Classes Begin August 23rd, 2010
Nutcracker 2010 Audition:
Junior Audition: Saturday, August 28th, @ The Miami Conservatory
2PM: 8-10 years (child must be 8 years by Oct.31) 3:30 PM-5PM. 10-12 years old. All students in this group must be in Elementary IV or above. Height requirement: 5'2" and below.
Senior Audition: Sunday, August 29th @ NWSA 1PM-4PM: 13 years and up with 3 years or more of pointe.
Labor Day Holiday, Monday, September 6th No Classes.
Thanksgiving Holiday: Thursday, Nov. 25th, Friday, Nov. 26th, and Saturday, Nov. 27th.
Nutcracker Performance Dates: Tuesday, November 30th - Dress/Tech Rehearsal 3PM
10 AM performances: December 1, 2, 3,
7PM performance: Saturday December 4th
Parent Viewing Week:
Come to your child’s class and enjoy their progress:
December 13th through December 18th
Winter Holiday:
Last day of classes: Saturday, December 18th. Classes resume on Monday, January 3rd.
Spring Break:
Monday, March 15th through Saturday, March 19th. Classes resume on Monday, March 21st.
Thomas Armour Youth Ballet Spring Performance: Dates TBA.
Memorial Day: Monday, May 30th
In Studio Performances: Monday, May 23rd through Saturday, May 28th. Come and see your child’s accomplishments for the year!
Please register your child this week for the 2011-12 school year. By registering early, you ensure your first choice of days, allowing you to plan your child’s week around the new schedule. Please see Ms. Marina.
Last day of Classes: Saturday, May 28th
Summer Workshop: Monday, June 13th through July 15th (5 weeks)
Registration for the 2011-12 school year: Begins on August 15th for new students. Old students should be registered by June to ensure placement. Classes resume on August 22nd.
Nutcracker Auditions, 2011: Saturday, August 27th & Sunday, August 28th.
