The mission of the Thomas Armour Youth Ballet is to present affordable classical ballet performances to children across our community. In addition, TAYB will provide high quality, professional ballet training to talented, but financially disadvantaged or at risk children. The program will facilitate access for students to new options and opportunities for success. The TAYB seeks to diversify the ballet community regarding race, gender, and socio-economic status, thus creating new role models for the children of the community.
The purpose of the TAYB Outreach Program is to make the world of dance accessible to under privileged and/or "at risk" youth, as students, audience members and performers. Through the vehicle of dance training, the children from the Miami Dade community will gain access to new options and opportunities for success.
